Easy instruction to know commuter pass fare
Search the Japanese station name with google translate
First thing first, you just convert the station name which you memorise as romaji into kanji with google translate and copy it to clip board.
Select a commuter pass type
In the first line, “通勤定期券申込・運賃の照会” means “regular commuter pass”
In the second line, ” 通学定期券申込 通学定期券申込・運賃の照会(※学生の方はこちら)” means “student commuter pass”
In the thrid line, “FREX申込,FREX申込・運賃の照会(※新幹線をご利用の方はこちら)” means “bullet train commuter pass”
In the forth line, “FREXパル申込 FREXパル申込・運賃の照会(※学生かつ新幹線をご利用の方はこちら)” means “student bullet train commuter pass”
In the fifth line, ” 申込内容確認・変更・取消 申込内容確認・変更・取消” means “confirmation and edit of application contents “
If you are a working adult, select the first line. If you are a student, choose the second line.
In the first box, put in the station name, where you get on
In the second box, put in the station name, where you get off
In the pull-down menu, select the date you start using a commuter pass
In the thrid box, put in the station name, where you transfer to another railway.
In the bottom, select “次へ” (next)
Confrim the stations you input
Just confirm if information you input is correct
“乗車駅” is the station name, where you get on
“降車駅” is the station name, where you get off
“ご利用開始日” is the date you sart using a commuter pass
“経由駅” is transit station (You don’t need to input if you don’t know)
If everything is OK, select “次へ” (next) in the bottom.
* In “降車駅” section, stations related to a word of “Tokyo” under below are lined up as search results. If the input station name is correct, the station name you indicate will be shown on the first line.
Check the price and route
This is the price and route section. Multiple routes are introduced depending on the types of train transit. If you go straight from the station, where you get on, to the station, where you get off, you should see the first route.
If you want to include some more stations between your boarding section for the reason that you want to drop by there for shopping or something, you can choose another route below.
“経路”, “Keiro” means “route”. “経路1” is “route No.1”.
“JR中央線”, which is placed between your entraining station and exit station, is types of rail line. In this case, it says “JR Chuo line”
“通勤定期券運賃” means “regular commuter pass fare”. This will be different depending on the type of commuter pass you chose at the first page.
1ヶ月 = 1 month, 3ヶ月 = 3 months, 6ヶ月 = half a year. The numbers shown next to these three types of validity terms are commuter pass fares.
